Soul Tending Invitations

Have you ever felt like spending time with God is a heavy burden that you HAVE to find time for and end up feeling guilty when you can’t carve out daily “quiet time”?

OR

Have you wondered if the way or amount of time you are spending on your devotional time is enough? Do you feel like there is only “one perfect way” to spend time with God?

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

I am an Enneagram 1, perfectionist, who is on a journey to say “yes” to God’s invitation for personal connection in my everyday, messy bun and muddy boots moments of life. I’m ready to let go of my heavy burden of “one size fits all quiet time with God” and instead accept HIS gentle invitation to be my gentle shepherd as He walks with me through my day.

Will you also accept the invitation and join me?

I’ll share my experiences with you as I tend to my soul by focusing on the contemplation of scripture and practicing the presence of God in prayer. Some of these practices may be new to you, even though they have been around for a long time.

I am hopeful that by sharing these moments they can be like seeds planted in fertile soil, while God also tends to your soul through spiritual rhythms of grace.

For God’s grace embraces our questions as well as our answers and our blindness as well as our vision, just as the sun shines steadily through the night, waiting to illumine the sky at dawn.
